Mothership Z: World Building

Many years ago, I defined the worldbuilding and visual direction for Mothership Z, a game project at Giant Monkey Robot. It was an incredibly fun project that combined modular spaceship systems, charming characters, and city-building mechanics with a strong retro anime influence. I created extensive spaceship designs (mixing 3D and 2D), characters, environments, color palettes, and even early UI proposals before the team began production
